Hand Painted Rainbow Leather Wallet

The Rainbow Leather Wallet is embossed with coloured hand painted vertical stripes. This high quality, hand crafted accessory not only provides safe storage for notes, coins, bank and store cards the coloured stripes make it is easier to find. There is a red stud fastening to close the wallet. The interior is made of red leather with black fabric and some clear plastic fronts to pockets.

When the wallet is open across the rear of the wallet there are 2 full width pockets with room for banknotes. On the left front there are 2 pockets for credit cards, with a third pocket and zip purse with a further pocket behind. On the right front there is a larger purse with stud fastening and pleats on side to allow easy viewing of contents. In the centre there is additional capacity for bank / store cards and 2 clear faced pockets suitable for bus passes, season tickets or other cards which to be viewed.

The Wallet is Hand Crafted in India, on a fair trade basis by a small family firm in Kolkata. The business employs 35 workers, 20 in the main workshop and 15 home workers who find the work a useful supplement to income, while allowing them to attend to the needs of their families. The home workers are mainly women who carry out the hand painting work. This arrangement enables the artisans to become more self-sufficient and independent.
